Zambia Climate Action Network (CAN-I) was created in 2023 and registered same year following its approval during the (Climate Action Network International General Assembly) in Indonesia.The main aim of the network is to bring together Zambian Civil Society Organizations in a coordinated manner and to amplify voices on climate action, justice at Sub- National, National, Regional, Continental and ultimately at Global level.Canzambia also collaborates with government entities on Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) related to Conference of Parties (COP) negotiations. We aim to engage civil society organizations (CSOs) to develop unified positions on climate issues. This is facilitated through social media interactions and hybrid meetings.
Climate Action Network (CAN) Zambia has a governing Board which provides strategic vision to the Network. The Secretariat runs the network on programs/projects and activities along side General Membership, Volunteers & community committees in the respective areas of operation.
